So it is time to announce my #30 favorite horror flick. Think you know what it is? (The title should be a hint...) If you guessed Poltergeist (Hooper, 1982) then you were right! There are actually a trilogy of Poltergeist films, but the first one is hands down the best of the three. The film is about a family living in a home with ghosts. (Spooky!!) Now at first these ghosts appear rather friendly and benign, simply moving furniture and objects around the house in an amusing manner. However, then things don't seem so nice anymore. The ghosts turn nasty and begin terrorizing the family before abducting the youngest daughter and taking her into the other side/some kind of other dimension, which happens to be in her closet. This is not only my #30 favorite horror film, but it is also a classic!
If you have never seen this, you are seriously missing out!
