Buzz Worthy.

Here are some interesting stories that have been circulating lately... just want to fill you in on the buzz.

1. Sarah Palin has written a book, Going Rogue, and is now making the rounds in hopes of spreading the word.  Her book tour officially kicks off on Wednesday and she appeared on The Oprah Winfrey Show yesterday.  Did anyone see her?  What'd you think?

2. Talk of making a new My Little Pony TV show is in the works.  I used to LOVE this show.  And it has one of the best theme songs ever!

3. The documentary, Young@Heart (Walker and George, 2007), is being made into a feature film.

4. Actor Edward Woodward died at the age of 79.  Woodward was famous for his roles in such classics as The Wicker Man (Hardy, 1973) and the television series, The Equalizer.

5. Roger Corman and Lauren Bacall received honorary Oscar awards.  Corman, often referred to as the "Kink of the Bs,"was an American producer and director of low-budget films.  Bacall is a film and stage actress best known for her film noir leading lady parts in flicks such as The Big Sleep (Hawks, 1946).

6. ABC is thinking about remaking Charlie's Angels.

7. Anyone wondering who will be performing at this year's Super Bowl?  The Who, apparently.

8. Winona Ryder has been cast in a Hallmark Hall of Fame movie.  Yikes... her career has really hit rock bottom, maybe it's time to just call it quits.

9. Sofia Coppola has finally decided to write/direct another movie!  Somewhere (Coppola, 2010), starring Stephen Dorff, tells the story of Johnny Marco, a "bad-boy A-list actor stumbling through a life of excess living at Hollywood's legendary Chateau Marmont Hotel."  Sounds good to me!

10. Starting December 1st, Scrubs will be returning with all-new episodes... and new faces.

  1. what?! Scrubs is coming back? and with different people? I find that ridiculous. I am a fan of Scrubs and the original cast and would prefer to keep watching reruns. Though I might give it a chance... maybe.

  2. Yeah, I think the original will be better. I never really was a huge Scrubs fan... but I enjoy the occasional re-run.

  3. I wish that Roger Corman and Lauren Bacall had received their honorary Oscars on the upcoming telecast. It would be so cool to see both of them receive their awards in front of a worldwide audience.

Winona starring in a Hallmark Channel movie?! I guess reality does bite.

"Scrubs" was one of my favorite shows! When I found out yesterday that it was returning, I was a little disappointed. I wish "Scrubs" had called it quits a few seasons ago at its peak. I'd hate to see it go out with a whimper. Having said that, I will probably still watch when it returns.

  4. Malcolm - I would have liked to see them win the awards too. I hate when they give people awards in advance. It's weird.

    Haha reality does bite. (clever!)

And yeah, shows should learn to call it quite while they are ahead. Go out with a bang. Dragging someone along because of past success is never good.
